Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and use basic English grammar concepts related to marine life.
Materials and Prep
- Marine life picture cards (you can draw or print pictures of various marine animals)
- Whiteboard or large paper
- Markers or crayons
- Scissors
No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.
Activities
-
Introduce the student to different marine animals using the picture cards. Show them one picture at a time and ask them to name the animal.
-
Write the names of the marine animals on the whiteboard or large paper. Help the student identify the first letter of each animal's name and write it next to the word.
-
Now, cut out the individual letters of the animal names and mix them up. Ask the student to rearrange the letters to form the correct words.
-
Encourage the student to create simple sentences using the animal names. For example, "The dolphin swims." or "The turtle is green."
