Activities

Introduction to the Alphabet
Show the student the alphabet flashcards or printed letters. Go through each letter, saying its name and sound. Encourage the student to repeat after you.

Letter Recognition Game
Write a few letters on the whiteboard or paper. Ask the student to identify each letter and its sound. Repeat this activity with different letters.

Reading Science Books
Read aloud science-related books or stories to the student. Pause occasionally to ask questions about the content or to discuss any new words encountered.

Letter Sounds Hunt
Choose a science-related word from one of the books read earlier. Ask the student to find the letters that make up the word from the flashcards or printed letters. Encourage them to say the sound of each letter as they find it.
