Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to practice their reading skills by engaging in activities related to the Among Us video game and learn about talk to text typing.

Materials and Prep

• Internet connection
• Text-to-speech software or app

Activities

1. Read and Discuss Among Us Game Instructions:

   Have the student read the game instructions of Among Us out loud. Encourage them to pay attention to key details and game mechanics. Discuss any unfamiliar vocabulary or concepts they come across.

2. Character Analysis:

   Select a character from Among Us and have the student analyze their traits, motivations, and actions. Ask them to write a short paragraph describing the character, using talk to text typing software or app. Encourage them to be creative and use descriptive language.

3. Reading Comprehension:

   Find an Among Us fanfiction or a short story based on the game. Have the student read the story and then answer comprehension questions about it. They can use the talk to text typing software or app to dictate their answers.

4. Among Us Vocabulary Game:

   Create a list of Among Us-related vocabulary words. Have the student practice using these words in sentences, either by typing or speaking them using the talk to text software or app. You can also turn it into a game by challenging them to come up with sentences using as many vocabulary words as possible within a time limit.
