Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to learn about the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium and understand basic concepts of marine biology.

Activities

  1. Research Cabrillo Marine Aquarium online. Find out where it is located, what marine animals can be found there, and any interesting facts about the aquarium.

  2. Draw and color your favorite marine animal from the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. Write a short description of the animal and its habitat.

  3. Create a mini aquarium using a clear plastic container. Collect small rocks, shells, and seaweed from your surroundings (if available). Fill the container with water and arrange the natural materials inside. Observe the container closely and imagine what it would be like to be a marine animal living in it.
