Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will understand the expansion of the Roman Empire and its impact on different regions.

Materials and Prep

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a basic understanding of the Roman Empire and its history.

Activities

  1. Create a timeline: Using the map of the Roman Empire, mark the starting point and the final extent of the empire. Then, create a timeline on a blank paper, marking important events and dates of the expansion.
  2. Color the conquered territories: Use colored pencils or markers to shade the regions that were conquered by the Romans. Pay attention to the different colors used for different time periods.
  3. Research and present: Choose one region that was conquered by the Romans and conduct research on its history and culture during the Roman period. Create a short presentation to share with your family or friends.
