Objective

The objective of this lesson is to incorporate math concepts into the student's interest in learning to speak Spanish. By the end of the lesson, the student will be able to understand and apply basic math skills in a fun and interactive way.

Activities

  • Spanish Number Bingo: Create bingo cards with Spanish numbers written on them. Call out the numbers in Spanish and have the student mark them on their card. This activity will help reinforce number recognition and listening skills in Spanish.
  • Spanish Math Word Problems: Create word problems in Spanish that involve basic math operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Have the student solve the problems and explain their answers in Spanish.
  • Spanish Money Conversion: Provide the student with a list of prices in both Spanish and their local currency. Have them convert the prices from one currency to another using exchange rates. This activity will help develop their understanding of currency conversion and basic math operations.
