Materials and Prep
- Pictures or toys of various animals
- Animal flashcards (optional)
- Animal sounds recordings (optional)
Activities
- Animal Guessing Game: Show the student a picture or toy of an animal without revealing its name. Ask them to make the sound or mimic the movements of the animal to guess its name.
- Animal Flashcards: Show the student different animal flashcards and ask them to name the animals they see.
- Animal Sound Match: Play recordings of animal sounds and ask the student to match the sound to the corresponding animal picture or toy.
- Animal Movement Dance: Play some lively music and encourage the student to dance and move like different animals. For example, ask them to hop like a bunny, crawl like a turtle, or stomp like an elephant.
