  • Draw and Measure: Draw different shapes on the paper and measure their areas using rows and columns. Can you find the shape with the largest area?
  • Shape Comparison: Draw two shapes and compare their areas by counting the rows and columns in each. Which shape has more area?
  • Shape Creations: Create your own unique shape and measure its area using rows and columns. How does it compare to the shapes you've measured before?

  • What is area? "Area is like the space inside a shape. It helps us understand how much space something takes up."
  • How do we measure area? "We can measure area by counting the rows and columns inside a shape. The more rows and columns, the bigger the area!"
