Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to explore the geographic characteristics of continents, understand cultural diversity, and learn how religion affected each culture.

Materials and Prep

Materials Needed:

  • World map or globe
  • Coloring pencils or markers
  • Blank paper

Preparation:

  • Research basic information about each continent
  • Prepare discussion points on cultural diversity and the influence of religion

Activities

1. Map Exploration: Use the world map or globe to locate and identify the different continents. Color each continent with a different color and label them.

2. Cultural Diversity: Research and discuss the different cultures present on each continent. Draw or write about one unique aspect of each culture on the blank paper.

3. Religion Influence: Explore how religion has influenced the cultures on each continent. Discuss and draw a symbol representing a major religion for each continent.
