Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand how different numbers relate to each other and form a whole up to 10.
Materials and Prep
Materials needed: paper, crayons, and a counting chart up to 10.
Prior knowledge: You should know how to count from 1 to 10.
Activities
Create a Number Family: Draw a big number in the center of a paper, like 5. Then draw smaller numbers around it that add up to 5, like 2 and 3. Color each number a different color.
Number Hunt: Go around your house and find objects in groups that add up to a specific number, like 7. For example, find 4 toys and 3 books.
Counting Chart Fun: Use the counting chart to find number pairs that add up to 10. Color each pair of numbers with the same color.
