Activities
- Start by discussing the different techniques and styles of painting and drawing. Show examples of famous artworks and explain their significance.
- Have the student choose a subject they would like to paint or draw. It can be a landscape, still life, or even a self-portrait.
- Guide the student through the process of sketching their chosen subject on the canvas or paper. Encourage them to pay attention to proportions and details.
- Once the sketch is complete, demonstrate different painting or drawing techniques that can be used to bring the artwork to life. Show how to mix colors, create texture, and add shading.
- Allow the student to experiment with the techniques on their own artwork. Offer guidance and feedback as they work.
- Once the painting or drawing is finished, discuss the student's artwork. Ask them to explain their creative choices and what they learned from the process.
- Encourage the student to display their artwork proudly or even consider framing it.
