- Blank paper
- Leaves collected from outside

No prior knowledge is needed, just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!
Activities
- Leaf Rubbings: Place a leaf under a piece of paper and use crayons to rub over it, revealing the leaf's shape and texture.
- Leaf Color Match: Collect different colored leaves and try to match them with your coloring materials.
- Leaf Observation: Use a magnifying glass to closely examine the details of a leaf, such as veins and patterns.
- Leaf Sorting: Sort the collected leaves by color, size, or shape.
Talking Points
- Leaves are like food factories for trees: "Leaves are like kitchens for trees. They use sunlight to make food for the tree."
- Green color comes from chlorophyll: "Chlorophyll is a green color in leaves that helps trees make food. It's like their superhero power!"
- Leaves change color in fall: "When the days get shorter and colder, trees stop making food. The green chlorophyll goes away, and we see other colors like red, yellow, and orange."
- Why do leaves fall off trees? "When leaves stop making food, the tree doesn't need them anymore. So, they fall off to get ready for new leaves in the spring!"
- Each leaf is unique: "Just like our fingerprints, no two leaves are exactly the same. They come in different shapes, sizes, and colors!"
