Materials and Prep

Activities

• Letter Sound Dance Party

  We will pick a letter and dance to its sound! For example, if we choose the letter "B," we can bounce like a ball and say "Buh, buh, buh!" Let’s make it a fun dance!

• Animal Sounds Game

  Let’s think of animals that start with different letters. For instance, "C for Cat!" We can make the cat sound and say "Cuh, cuh, cuh!" together!

• Letter Treasure Hunt

  We will pretend to go on a treasure hunt for letters! I will say a letter, and we can look around the room and find something that starts with that letter sound.

• "What sound does the letter 'A' make? Let's say it together: 'Aaaa!'"
• "Can you think of something that starts with 'B'? How about a ball? Let's say 'Buh, buh, ball!'"
• "Every letter has a sound, just like you have a name! What sound do you hear in your name?"
