Before starting the lesson, make sure you have access to a computer or tablet with internet connection. Also, have some paper and a pencil ready for note-taking or writing activities.
Activities
- Roblox Reading Adventure: Find an interesting Roblox game or story online and read it aloud. Pay attention to new words or phrases you come across and write them down. Discuss the story with a family member or friend.
- Family Story Time: Watch a YouTube video about families or family activities. While watching, identify and write down any new words or phrases you hear. Afterward, share what you learned with a family member or friend.
- Word Detective: Choose five words from either the Roblox story or the YouTube video that you found interesting or challenging. Look up their meanings in a dictionary or online. Write down the definitions and use each word in a sentence.
- Create Your Own Story: Use your imagination to write a short story about a family adventure in the world of Roblox. Include characters, setting, and a problem to solve. Read your story aloud to a family member or friend.
