Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify the main characters from the show Bluey, understand the importance of imagination and play, and create their own fun story inspired by Bluey.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper
  • Colored pencils or crayons
  • Comfortable space for storytelling and play
  • Knowledge of Bluey characters and episodes (optional)

Activities

  • Character Drawing:

    The student will choose their favorite character from Bluey and draw them on paper. They can use their imagination to add fun backgrounds or other characters!

  • Imaginative Play:

    The student will engage in a role-play activity where they can act out a scene from Bluey or create their own story using the characters they drew.

  • Story Creation:

    The student will create a short story about their character. They can write it down or tell it aloud while someone else writes it for them.

  • "Who is your favorite character from Bluey? Why do you like them?"
  • "What do you think makes Bluey and Bingo such good friends?"
  • "Can you tell me about a fun game that Bluey and her family play? What do you like to play?"
  • "Why do you think imagination is important when playing? Can you think of a time when you used your imagination?"
  • "What kind of adventures do you think Bluey would go on if she were in your house?"
  • "Let's share our stories! What did you create? How do you feel about your story?"
