Materials and Prep

- White paper or coloring book pages
No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.
Activities
- Show and Tell: Gather various colorful objects and place them in front of the toddler. Encourage them to pick up each object one by one and say the color out loud. Repeat this activity several times, introducing new objects each time.
- Coloring Fun: Provide the toddler with white paper or coloring book pages and a set of crayons. Ask them to color specific objects using the appropriate colors. For example, point to a picture of an apple and say, "Can you color the apple red?" Repeat this activity with different objects and colors.
- Color Hunt: Go on a color hunt around the house or outdoors. Ask the toddler to find objects of different colors and bring them back to you. Encourage them to name the colors as they find each object.
