Objective

Activities

  1. Watch Emmylou's Fine Art Workshop YouTube video - "How to Draw a Realistic Eye with Pastel Chalks". Pay attention to the techniques and steps demonstrated.
  2. Prepare your materials - have your pastel chalks, drawing paper, pencil, and eraser ready.
  3. Start by lightly sketching the basic shape of the eye using a pencil.
  4. Using the pastel chalks, begin adding layers of color to create the iris and the surrounding area.
  5. Blend the colors together using your fingers or a blending tool to create a smooth transition.
  6. Add details such as the pupil, highlights, and eyelashes using darker shades of pastel chalks.
  7. Take breaks to step back and observe your drawing, making adjustments as needed.
  8. Once you are satisfied with your drawing, sign your name and admire your masterpiece!
