Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to write a short sentence or story about birds, using descriptive language and proper sentence structure.
Materials and Prep
Materials: Paper, pencils, and any books or resources about birds.
Prep: Familiarize yourself with some basic bird facts to share with the student during the lesson.
Activities
1. Bird Observation: Take a walk outside and observe any birds you see. Encourage the student to describe the birds' colors, sizes, and movements.
2. Story Time: Read a book about birds together, and discuss the different types of birds and their characteristics.
3. Writing Activity: Have the student draw a picture of a bird and then help them write a sentence or short story about the bird, using descriptive words they observed during the bird observation activity.
