Objective

Materials and Prep

Materials: Alphabet flashcards, picture cards of objects with corresponding initial letter sounds (e.g. apple, ball, cat), and a clear space for activities.

Prep: Familiarize yourself with the letter sounds and corresponding objects, and ensure a distraction-free environment for learning.

Activities

• Letter Sound Match: Show the student an alphabet flashcard and ask them to find a picture card of an object that starts with that letter sound.

• Letter Sound Scavenger Hunt: Hide the picture cards around the room and have the student find them, saying the letter sound as they find each card.

• Letter Sound Sing-Along: Sing a simple song where each verse focuses on a different letter sound and its corresponding object.
