Materials and Prep
- Paper
- Pencil or crayons
- A short story (can be a simple one the teacher creates)
- A comfortable reading space
Before the lesson, prepare a short story that is engaging and age-appropriate. Ensure the reading space is quiet and cozy to help the student focus.
Activities
-
Story Time:
Read the short story together. Take turns reading paragraphs aloud to make it interactive and fun!
-
Character Drawing:
After reading, ask the student to draw their favorite character from the story. They can use crayons to make it colorful!
-
Setting Creation:
Have the student create a small drawing or a collage of the setting where the story takes place. This helps them visualize the story better!
