Materials and Prep

• No special materials are needed; just a comfortable reading space.
• Prepare a cozy spot with pillows or a blanket for reading time.
• Think of a few favorite simple stories to share or read together.

Activities

• Story Time: Choose a favorite storybook and read it together. Use different voices for characters to make it exciting!

• Word Hunt: Look around the house for simple words (like "cat," "dog," or "mom"). Point them out and say them together.

• Draw and Write: Ask Norvin to draw his favorite character from the story and help him write the character's name underneath.

• Act It Out: Choose a scene from the story and act it out together. Use your imagination to be the characters!
