Activities

  1. Introduction to Anime Genres

    Research and familiarize yourself with different anime genres such as shonen, shojo, mecha, isekai, and slice of life. Take notes on the characteristics and themes of each genre.

  2. Library Catalog Search

    Visit your library's online catalog or use a library database to search for anime-related books. Use keywords like "anime," "manga," or specific genre names to narrow down your search. Take note of interesting titles and their call numbers.

  3. Book Location and Organization

    Visit the library and locate the books you found during your catalog search. Use the call numbers to find the correct sections and shelves. Take note of how the books are organized and arranged within the library.

  4. Book Selection and Evaluation

    Choose a few books that catch your interest and read the summaries or flip through the pages to get a sense of the content. Evaluate the books based on your personal preferences and the information you gathered about the genres. Select one or two books to borrow.

  5. Reading and Reflection

    Borrow the selected books and spend time reading them. Take notes on your favorite aspects, characters, and plotlines. Reflect on how the books align with your expectations based on the genre characteristics you learned about.
