Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to add 4 to numbers 1-10.
Materials and Prep
- Pencil
- Blank paper
Activities
- Warm-up: Start by counting from 1 to 10 out loud.
- Introduction: Write down the numbers 1 to 10 on the paper, leaving enough space between each number.
- Practice: Add 4 to each number on the list, one at a time.
- Review: Go through the list again and say the answers out loud.
- Challenge: Close your eyes and randomly point to a number on the list. Add 4 to that number.
Counting helps us understand numbers and their order.
This will give us a visual representation of the numbers we'll be working with.
For example, if we add 4 to 1, we get 5. Write down the answer next to the number.
Repetition helps reinforce what we've learned.
This will test your ability to apply what you've learned without looking at the list.
