Before the lesson, gather the blue materials and familiarize yourself with the words and concepts related to the color blue.
Activities
- Blue Scavenger Hunt: Go on a hunt around your house or backyard to find as many blue objects as you can. Once you find an object, say its name out loud and color it on your paper using the blue crayon or marker.
- Blue Word Association: Look at the blue objects or pictures you found and think of words that describe or relate to them. Write or draw these words on your paper using the blue crayon or marker. For example, if you found a blue ball, you could write or draw the word "round" or "bouncy".
- Blue Storytime: Choose a book that has a blue theme or prominently features the color blue. Read the book aloud, pointing out the blue objects or characters as you go along. After reading, discuss the story and ask questions about the color blue.
