Activities
- Introduction to the Alphabet: Show the alphabet flashcards to the student and go through each letter, saying the letter name and its corresponding sound. Encourage the student to repeat after you.
- Letter Recognition: Write a few letters on the whiteboard or chalkboard and ask the student to identify the letters. Give praise and positive reinforcement for correct answers.
- Alphabet Coloring: Give the student the alphabet coloring sheets and coloring materials. Instruct them to color each letter and say the letter name and sound as they color.
- Letter Sound Game: Say a word and ask the student to identify the beginning sound of the word. For example, say "cat" and ask the student which letter makes the /k/ sound. Use the flashcards as visual aids if needed.
