Objective

Materials and Prep
- Printed map of the United States
- Coloring pencils or markers

Activities
- Coloring the States: Give the student the printed map of the United States and the coloring pencils/markers. Instruct them to color each state with a different color. This activity will help them become familiar with the shape and location of each state.
- State Guessing Game: Show the student a picture of a state and give them clues about its location or landmarks. Encourage the student to guess the name of the state. This activity will help them practice identifying states based on visual cues.
- State Puzzle: Cut out the individual states from a printed map and mix them up. Ask the student to put the states back together like a puzzle, using their knowledge of the shape and location of each state. This activity will reinforce their understanding of the states' geography.
