Activities
Read Aloud: Choose a storybook or reading material and read it aloud to the student. Encourage them to listen carefully and follow along with the words.
Picture Retelling: After reading a story, ask the student to draw a picture representing their favorite part of the story. Then, have them explain the picture and retell the story using their own words.
Question Time: Ask the student comprehension questions about the story they just read or listened to. For example, "What was the main character's name?" or "What happened at the beginning of the story?"
Word Hunt: Choose a specific word from the story and ask the student to find it within the text. This activity helps them focus on individual words and their meanings.
