Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to improve your reading comprehension skills and have fun while doing so!
Materials and Prep
- A book or reading material of your choice
- A notebook or paper for taking notes
- A pen or pencil
Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a quiet and comfortable place to read and work.
Activities
Choose a book or reading material that you find interesting. It could be a storybook, a comic book, or even a magazine article.
Start reading the chosen material. While reading, try to pay attention to the main characters, the setting (where the story takes place), and the main events that happen.
After reading a few pages or a chapter, take a moment to summarize what you have read in your own words. You can write it down in your notebook or simply say it out loud.
Challenge yourself by asking questions about what you have read. For example, you can ask yourself, "What do you think will happen next?" or "Why do you think the character made that decision?"
Continue reading and summarizing until you finish the book or reading material. Remember to enjoy the story and have fun!
