By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand and apply circle measurements in real-life examples and experiences.

Materials and Prep

Materials: pencil, paper

Prep: Make sure you have a clear workspace to draw and calculate circle measurements.

Activities

1. Draw different sized circles on a piece of paper and measure their diameters and radii.

2. Calculate the circumference and area of the circles you drew using the formulas πd and πr^2.

3. Find real-life examples of circle measurements around your home or neighborhood, such as the wheels of a bicycle or the lid of a jar.
